Are you lost? Follow Synoptic Scales into the labyrinth that is the urban condition. At once exciting and restless, exhilarating and comforting, the labyrinth swallows people and is generated by them. It may seem a soulless machine – romanticists would like you to believe that – but its inner mechanisms run on human life: the pompous business men, the fuming street preachers, the musicians at the corner of the station, the tired whores, and the many operators performing their roles as little cogwheels in the clockwork. They all are essential to the urban fabric faithfully represented on ‘Gradients II: Labyrinth’.

‘Gradients II: Labyrinth’ was recorded in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Miami, Bangkok, Osaka, Hanoi, Berlin, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Duisburg, and Copenhagen; and oftentimes in transit between those places. The ‘Gradients’ cycle by Synoptic Scales probes into the forces driving life. All sounds are recorded in 24bits resolution with a 96kHz sample rate, ensuring highest quality. The entire cycle is available for free from Bandcamp and other channels.
